vBulletin forums support various systems to rank contributors positively (and in some cases, negatively).
Some forums support a "Thank-you" system (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=122944) (example site (http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=5597566#post5597566)) while others support a karma/reputation based system (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/reputation).
Adding one of these systems would help Nokia (http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10771) to identify contributors to the community when deciding who should receive discounted devices, as well as helping new forum members recognise existing knowledgable members.
A "thank-you" system may work best for the ITT forum.

Nice idea.
With this Internet Tablet Talk will be a more social web.
That is a really good idea. Some people here really do deserve something to help them develope.

The version of the forum software is not compatible with that add-on. An upgrade to the forums/site is happening soon. I'll make sure to add the thank you hack.
Thanks.

Reggie, it's not entirely clear to me if the Thank-you hack is compatible or incompatible with the ITT version of vBulletin (v3.6.4).
According to the hack page, a previous release is compatible only with v3.6.6
Version 6.1 (05/14/07):
vBulletin 3.6.6 and up is needed to run this version
however the latest version of the hack, v6.3, appears to be compatible with all versions of vBulletin v3.6.x
Version 6.3 (07/30/07):
Moved post thanks stats in postbit from hook postbit_userinfo_right to hook postbit_userinfo_right_after_posts. (for vb 3.6.8 and <3.6.6)
Released for all versions of vb 3.6.x
So perhaps the latest version of the hack is compatible with v3.6.4 of vBulletin? I can't bring myself to read all 117 pages of discussion to find out though, and if you're only a few weeks away from upgrading it may not be worthwhile bothering with this hack on the current forum version.
There's also a Groans (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=111251) hack as well! :)

I tried it and the latest version prompts that it wants the latest version of vB. I'm planning the upgrade this weekend. :)

Great news Reggie, glad to hear about the upgrade (I've been waiting for such an upgrade for a while :D)
