OK, there's a couple of interpretations of this (http://gigaom.com/2007/11/01/nokia-the-n810-tablet-the-long-view/).

GigaOm and his colleagues blog about everything in Internetland but the author of this alleges to have attended the Nokia N810 launch at the Web2.0 conference and then he calls it a "handset". Either he's incredibly thick, stupid or "Internet Tablet" was lost in the Suomi to English translation, or maybe Anssi Vanjoki just didn't get the message across that it's not a phone.

Yawn.

I have an HP-48 prototype calculator which connects to a debugger box,
which itself is conneced to an HP-UX machine.
This special HP-48 unit is called 'handset' in the original HP documentation.

NB: The handset is used for in-circuit emulation and debugging.

So it may be a matter of perspective;-)
