I see people all the time with bluetooth headsets in there ears blabbing a way at restaraunts and when even talking to someone else. Plus I worked at a theme park and I saw tons of them[to Treo 650s of course] everywhere. It seems like its more of a fad than practibility.

It's quite annoying indeeed!
