After watching closely for the last few days, I've noticed that no one else has posted on this trouble, so it may just be me, but here's my situation.
Yesterday, I downloaded and installed the latest windoze package on my pc running vista at home, and I also installed the latest N810 package (yes I am running OS08) from Gizmo (4.0.19)
Both 'seem' to work...that is, they both load up nicely. But, when I place the call (from either device), even though it 'rings', the pop-up 'answer me' box does not appear. Then, it automatically 'connects' and shows me 'on the phone' but there is no sound. Trying the video results in the sort of standard 'video doesn't work' error message (I don't have it at hand, sorry) that I've seen others report here in threads related to installation problems.
Ok, I figured it was something that I wasn't doing right, but I just tried it here at work on a pc running XP and it works fine! I get both audio and video with no trouble at all.
The kicker: I also tried it on my wife's laptop running XP and had the same 'connection w/o a connection' problems I did on the Vista machine!
Anyone else experience this situation? Any ideas? Thanks in advance (Reggie can we get a button for that?):)
