View Full Version : Rhapsody Issues with latest update

I noticed there was a new update for Rhapsody in my Apps manager.
I installed it and now I get "Internal Stream Error". I uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Same issue..
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

I have an even weirder Rhapsody problem, which I will probably have to contact them about. I actually downloaded it, and I can actually connect and be accepted and see my library and find selections. But then, when I try to play one, I get a message saying something like "password not accepted" and I can't listen! If they are going to reject me, they really should do it before they show me my library...
In my case, I think it is some weird complication having to do with the fact that I have a Rhapsody to go account, but you can't do Rhapsody to go on the Nokia, so they should just give you Unlimited access.

I had a lbrary issue where it said "content not available" I had to delete my library and start over...The current problem I have totally sucks though. I imagine their tech support (if I can get them) wont have an answer. "you have a N810,, huh,,whats that?".. just like when I called Boingo for support...

I am having exactly the same issue with Rhapsody giving internal data stream error. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall but with no luck. One thing to be careful of when entering the username and password is that it capitalizes the first letter. This has nothing to do with the data stream issue.
I was just trying to show to a friend how cool the tablet was when this started! Hmmm ..... it doesn't usually do that!!:(

it is since the meta file (or whatever) update.. I have tried everything form uninstall - reinstall - power down... At least I know im not alone..
I have had more issue with my 810 than ever withmy 800..I still love the 810

Not to hijack (well, only for a second) the thread, but I thought you could download rhapsody music to the N8X0 machines? So I am only able to stream their music? This was a big reason why I was willing to give up my UMPC and go with an 810, but if I can't take the music with me then I won't... can you comment on this?

Only able to stream...kind of a drag.. I would like to download it also..
FYI.. up unitll this latest issue-- the streams were flawless.. I have been tethering my N810 with my cell phone and streamin while im in the car. Only as good as your signal though...
Hope this helped

I agree that it would be nice to download but the streaming (up until today!) did amaze me it worked really smooth even in the car with a very weak signal.

Won't work on the plane... drats.. thought I had found a fun toy that filled all my mission requirements... I am getting sick of this waiting game for the perfect convergence device.

On the "what's a N810 comment". I spoke to someone at Rhapsody who was EXTREMELY knolegeable about the N800. If you get techs from India they generally knew nothing about the N800, but when I got the American central place, this tech had an N800 and actually tried to replicate my problem (which he did) and solve it (which he didn't). He admitted it was their fault. I eventually solved it by killing the account I had with them and starting another one in such a way that their system couldn't get confused.
Unfortunately, I think it's confused again.

So he tried to resolve the "internal data stream error"?
Hopefully they will have a fix soon.
Do you have the support number? If enough of us cal maybe they will realize that an issue exists.

I cant believe how useless Rhapsody is. Is anybody able to avoid the internal data stream error?

Anybody had any luck yet????
I chatted with Rhapsody on this issue and they were totally clueless about the device or the software...
Very discouraging but typical for REAL Networks

I tried there chat support and the tech couldn't get rid of me quick enough. He said that he would raise a ticket for second line and would send the ticket number (only after being pressed). This was a plain lie! I will try phone support when I have a chance but I don't hold out too much hope.

Let us know how you make out with phone support, please.....
I want this fixed soon..I used this app the most.

Am I understanding that all of the operating systems are getting the Data Stream Error? Does anyone have a properly working Rhapsody on an N8**?
Rhapsody was flawless until I tried to update. Now it loads my play lists and favorite channels and won't play a thing. I get the same Internal Data Stream Error. Works fine on my CPU w/ Windows 2000.
I have the N800 OS2007 ver 4.2007.26-8 which I know is not the latest. I thought I would wait for an official OS2008 and see if it improves.

It seems that it is now able to play again (I didn't change anything!). I still have a problem with my library details not being available ("Contents not available" in the artists, tracks etc.). JazzBass12, how did you clear you library. I have a lot stored in my library so I don't want to clear it but I want the n810 to re pull this. I dont want to delete it in Rhapsody. This can be done on a PC (I have had to do it before) but I am not sure how on the n810.

karlwood, Thanks for your post. Rhapsody works for me, as well.
UPDATE: Now, my N800 has just frozen playing Rhapsody while buffering "Silent Night." How appropriate.

OK... Things are looking a lot better now! There has been a couple of updates that have been posted in the last couple of days. From the application manager update the list and you will see a new Rhapsody metasoftware app listed (something like that!). The last one fixed the internal data stream issue and today's fixes the content not available for albums. Searching has also been resolved. I am a happy bunny again! I already use Rhapsody and this was one of the big drivers for the n810 for me.

YUP,,IM working again,thank god..

Rhapsody on the Nokia N8x0 has and will likely continue to be full of bugs and problematic. From album data not being displayed, to 'content not available' error messages, to randomly closing upon certain random actions.
Rhapsody for me worked at first, then would give the old 'content not available' for albums in my library. Now it is on the randomly closing especially when viewing my library albums phase.

There has been a several bugs for the Rhapsody client but it seems like someon is working on these pretty quickly. I have noticed a couple of updates that have managed to resolve all the issues I have seen. It works very well for me now. Make sure that you look for an update in the application manager (ensure you update the list). The latest update is working very well now :)
