I posted this before but no replies. What are folks using for screen protection? The one I had on my N800 is slightly too large for the 810.

Hi
I'm using N800 and Palm Treo screen protector from here:
http://www.javoedge.com
Costs quite much with delivery fees but protectors are quality products.

what are the dimensions of the screen on the N810? I have a bunch of Palm T3/T5/TX protectors and wanted to know if I needed to trim it or not. How about another device that has similar dimensions?

I own a Palm T3 and a Nokia N800. There is no way what-so-ever that the screen protector of one could be trimmed to fit the other. Sorry.
I purchased for $Can 10.49 an Optex screen protector at FutureShop.Ca for my Archos 605. It came with three (3) screen protectors in the kit with screen cleaners etc. The 3 protectors are large enough to fit perhaps 5-inch diagonal screens and can easily be trimmed.

However the quality is no where near as good as what I usually use from BoxWave.Com. I've used a BoxWave screen protector on my Palm T3 since I first got it some 4 plus years ago and it's still like new after very very heavy use each and ever day. I also use a BoxWave on my Nokia N800.
The BoxWave are quite expensive. BoxWave will apparently make screen protectors for any model if someone will send them the measurements. I may end up doing that when my 3 Optex wear out as the BoxWaves are just so very good.

BoxWave $6.95 for one single and Optex $10.49 for a kit of three (3).

I too have purchased those screen protectors at one point. You are completely right. The are crap. Perhaps for something without a touch screen.

I am still using the original protector that came with the n800. (have had it since launch) Planning on doing the same with my 810.

I read somewhere that the original scratched too easily.

There are scratches, but none that prevent me from actually seeing the screen. Gotta see if I can post pics in the am.

Ordered a Martin Fields N800 screen protector for my N810. Hopefully it'll fit. If not, I can always pull out the razor.
