I just flashed my N800 to OS2008. it has an x terminatal integrated in the system. when I use "sudo gainroot" to become root, it said " enable RD mode if you want to break your device". What does RD mode mean? How do I enable RD mode? Could anyone plz help?
Install this http://eko.one.pl/maemo/dists/bora/user/binary-armel/becomeroot_0.1-2_armel.deb and then gainroot works.

Thanks MAN! I got another question: I tried to install a type of font into OS 2008. the name of the font is "msyh.ttf". in previous version of XTERM, i will just run these lines in root mode:
cp /media/mmc1/simsun.ttf /usr/share/fonts
fc-cache -f
THEN reboot and the font will be recognized by OS.
but in OS 2008, when I did the same line, it noticed me:" cp: cannot remove '/user/share/fonts/':No such file or directory.
How should I revise the command line?

did you type usr, or user?
os 2008 still has fonts in /usr/share/fonts/.
