View Full Version : iMaemo Version 0.02
Yo!
Nice little update to my pointless app launcher, iMaemo, and another vid to boot ;) Well, enjoy! Oh, and... Should I put the gray area behind the bottom three buttons? Like the actual iPhone: http://computershopper.com/shoptalk/i/iphone_home.gif Or just leave the area behind them black...?

Looks awesome! I want!
It would be great for this to eventually become a desktop replacement app. It needs a clock icon that actually displays the time though - that would be sweet. :p
Great work and I can't wait to try it out.
Hmm, a clock *ponders* That should be another great way to learn this language...
Ah, but, I think I may actually release it tomorrow, because I can't think of a user friendly way to change what each icon launches (without putting in to much work, of course ;)) But, the pre-alpha should be on my site by about nine or ten at night tomorrow.
Thanks :)
Just wanted to give a little update:
After hours (ALL BECAUSE OF A DAMNEDABLE TYPO, GAH) of learning all kinds of fun stuff in Python, iMaemo now has a nice little configuration, ehm... thingy... So it is ready for the public, but... I can't get Python to install on my damnable scratchbox, so, I will have to rig up a deb without it (oh what fun!). So, check the site ( http://geekpenguin.blogspot.com ) tomorrow (the 3rd of December, '07) for a deb ;)
apologies - I didn't see your scratchbox difficulties before my post (http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showthread.php?p=106861#post106861) - sounds like you already know about the dependency issues.
Rgds,
wisp
