pyton installing problem

i installed python (pymameo-runtime1.1..1.arm) so that i could use gmailmon -tabletcorner.com. but i cant see python inter extras nor gmailmonl. i must be missing something .....

I haven't tried gmailmon yet, but when you install pymaemo it doesn't show up in menu's "Extras" folder. You can test if python works by using xterm and type "/var/lib/install/usr/bin/python2.4". When you do that, it should open the python terminal inside the xterm. You can get out of the terminal using CTRL+D.
