N800 does not go to sleep

Hello, My N800 wont go to sleep on its own. I did select ''switch off display 1 minute'' in the control panel but to no avail. This only way it seems to work is when I manually press the power button once and choose ''lock touch screen and key''. Anybody knows how to change that?

I don't suppose you mean while it is on the charger? Because in the display settings there is a setting that says not to sleep the screen while on AC. Don't remember what it is called exactly, I'm not running OS2007.
