I got hebrew fonts working nicely (using culmus fonts) and with Mohammed Sameers (http://foolab.org/node/1719) help I added a hebrew layout to his arabic input plugin which means its possible to type hebrew on OS2008.
If anyone is interested in getting this running on their tablet, send me a message...
