Ok, after some tweaking this is what I got....
It runs a lot faster... but it still needs some work.
Donkey kong warbles a little on the sound.
Pacman plays very fine < - < - < - :)
I didn't bother with any audio processing switches....
what kind of audio do we have?
Anyway... check it out.... (pacman, donkeykong, and qbert)
Oh, I had to change a lot of key bindings... but it works..
You use the zoom screen for coins and start game
you use the arrows to move
home key is button 1 (that may not be working in this iteration)
- geekdoc... now back to real work for a while.... sigh.

Thanks (It isn't like I wrote it... I just changed like four lines)
It isn't in a stable form, but I would be glad to pass on the executable and the config files out..... the only thing is I would need someplace to put it.
Also, fyi... yeah... the joystick sucks.... it works but it isn't nice.
It just isn't ergodynamic.

I sent you a PM about hosting the page for free, but I would like to extend the offer to all nokia770 open source projects who need a home. I run a small web hosting company with space and bandwidth to spare. I'm willing to donate space (http, php, mySQL, ftp, svn) to projects that need it. You can email me for more info.

There is one issue left (actually there are a couple)
one is the home key works for player 1 button..... but then it goes home!
Blech!
I don't know how to fix this ... anyone?
Two the correct audio flags are not set....it loads without a problem in scratchbox, but
has some issues with dsp in the nokia (but it still plays sound).
I will post what I have now tomorrow or the day after.
This is the diff file for makefile.unix and makefile.nokia (mine)
It wouldn't let me upload the makefile... it was too large
