I've installed the official 2008 OS and occasionally my desktop would blanks out and come back on without any of the applets activated and have to reactive them again. Is anyone experiencing the same problem?

Yes, particularly when my Bluetooth keyboard wakes from sleep. It really wouldn't bother me so much if everything would come back the way it was before it crashed, but having to restart to bring everything back is a big pain.

I'd like to open a bug for both the Bluetooth keyboard crashes and the state recovery after crash, but I'm feeling really lazy and don't think I've put enough effort into pinning down the Bluetooth keyboard crash.

Bug #2614 (https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2614)—Desktop loses Home applets when restarting after a crash, and
Bug #2616 (https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2616)—Bluetooth keyboard waking from sleep sometimes causes the desktop to crash

Go forth. Vote, contribute, and confirm (or WORKSFORME)!

I had the same problem but un-selecting the "IP Info" fixed it for me.

Well, you've stumped me. Where the hell is this "IP Info" selection? Is this a Home applet (IPHome type thing) or what?

Ye,
It was " IPHome " that was causing the problem for me {blanked on the name last post}

I had the same trouble with the IPHome desktop app. It was causing it to crash so I had to disable it.
