apple keyboard sluggish/repeats w N800

I have a standard Apple BT keyboard ("Wireless Keyboard" A1016) that's paired OK with my N800 under Chinook, but in use I find it sluggish and quite often keys repeat rapidly even though I'm typing at normal speed.

(So I get sssssomething lllllllllllllllikeeee thisssssssss)

Are there any settings I can change on the Maemo end, or is this the keyboard's fault?

Something weird with the Apple BT keyboard --- I'm having the same problem with both my n800 and with the PCs that I pair to it.

No fix that I'm aware of.
