I must be doing something wrong, but I cannot find any information about what I am trying to do in this forum or in the Nokia user guide.

I use the built in reader to get some rss news feed. I open a few when I am at a wifi place and save them in the browser so I can read them on the subway. When I try to open the locally stored content, the brower tries to connect to the internet, but if I am not at a place with wifi, I cannot open the local files. If I am at a place with wifi, the web page will open the locally stored content perfectly. I am 100% sure that the web page being loaded is the local copy and not the one from the news story.

I also notice that the mozilla brower (which is unusably slow) has a setting for "browse offline" which I tried as a test. With this browser, I was able to load local files without a problem, except for the unacceptable slowness.

This seems to be a weird problem with the opera browser. I am really starting to dislike this browser a lot.

Well, not all RSS feeds out there are full text feeds. Many of them will provide a snippet and then require the user to visit the site to read the rest of the article. There are pretty strong opinions out there of this situation. Many site providers rely on selling advertising to keep the site going, so they want the user to visit the site.

You probably aren't doing anything wrong.
