Guys,
MANaOS 0.1.3 (http://tonikitoo.blogspot.com/2006/03/manaos-mozilla-based-web-browser-013.html) is out, and I'd like to ask who have gave it a try to feedback us with bugs, comments, complains or whatever about it ;)
it'd lead us to even better stable version (0.2).
More about manaos project at here (http://tonikitoo.blogspot.com/2005/11/manaos-embedded-browser-for-nokia-770.html) ;)

Well, I already posted at your blog, but I'll reiterate a few things here to get the discussion going.
Understandably, the browser is sluggish. I thought it was odd that a full page down seems to take just as long as a single click of the down scroll button. It seems to handle more complicated AJAX like reader.google.com better, but it is very slow to load. Still though, it works whereas the built-in opera-based browser does not load Google Reader's Feed entries or the list of your current subscriptions.
I personally prefer the keyboard to come up when I call it, rather than to automatically appear on a webpage that auto-focuses the main text field. Like I said before, I'm sure other people prefer ManaOS's way of doing it, providing less clicks to start typing, like in www.google.com.
Overall a very interesting project. While not quite ready to take over Opera's browser, that is mostly due to speed issues. THe rendering is very respectable, and it seems to handle more complicated pages that opera cannot.
Just my thoughts.
As I suggested you post this here, I'll also copy over my comments from your blog :
Thanks Antonio ! This version makes a huge difference - still slower than Opera, but getting there...
Already manaos makes it possible to open AJAX pages on the 770 that don't work in Opera, line Netvibes and TiddlyWiki, that's good !
On my machine I have screen refresh problems - a new page seems to load but the previous one stays displayed until you scroll or zoom or do something, then it appears. Anybody else has this ?
Of course there are memory problems also, but this is on an unmodified 770 without swap, so it's already good that it works at all ! I really must get myself a bigger MMC and set up a swap file :-)
Keep up the good work !

Yes, I get that same screen refresh problem. THe page will have finished loading but the actual display doesn't change until moving a button, or scrolling.
Also, I forgot to mention this above, but since installing manaos the opera browser is questioning the authority of several certificates which are valid. any relationship there? Seems strange to me as I thought the two programs would use different files for saving certificates. Perhaps they both access the Certificates which can be seen through the menu Others > Control Panel > Certificates ?

Jay, as far as I know, Opera uses the system certificate manager and manaos-mozilla is not yet making good use of them ...
it sounds odd but it worths to have sure and I'll investigate.
