[Canola] Sneak peek into the blue theme

Some people asked the old blue theme back, so we answered =) here are some screen from the theme that is coming in the next update... like the previous one it uses the crystal clear icon set.

With this theme and one visually simpler on the oven, we will close our theme developments and try to provide people all they would need to make their own themes.

Hi El amir, we are not going to take merits by this =) The icons are from the KDE, made by Everaldo, like the previous cristal on KDE3 also made by him.

They really look amazing.

hmm, i dont like to be an arse, but the orange sorta is i dunno, a little off
but i love the blue background, i think that other than the orange, it looks absoulutly beautiful, i think the icons work great with the background, giving it sorta a outside theme, or maybe a realism theme, i love it, but the orange...
lol, i dunno, its just a little off i guess, but the black that was otherwise used wouldnt work with this either, it really stinks to be the guy complaining with no solution... but uh, well i dunno again, color not my strong point, but i'm complaining, lol, ranting now
but it almost hurts me that the orange ruins the entire theme for me, because its so well thought out, or at least thought out well, the difference being the action and the product, the product being great of course (cept for orange)

Looks nice, also the icons seem like they're from different sets. Like they have a different perspective. Also if you use a picture of the medium used for movies i would use a picture of the medium used for music as well (tape,cd ). And for pictures use just the picture, no camera. Anyway just my two cents.

Asqwasqw : we still "making" it , so if this is also happening between other people =) we may change , or maybe do a more blue + white only theme. Orange and blue are really strong combination that generates diverse opinions =) it's more or less if we have used green and red (complimentary colors )

Zeez: I do have the worries about "unified looks" and pespective .. (if you use the graphite team, we changed some icons because of the pespective) and we are not doing those icons (they are the same icon set from the first Canola) used now in KDE4 AFAIK. About the medium for movies, yeah the movie stripe is the medium isn't ? =) I know nowdays they are more digital then ever, but what's the difference between the mediuns when you go digital (none) =)

*but the pespective also bothers me...

If we can find inside the set more suitable themes we can change, no problem =)

I'm down with the orange, but I'm even more excited at the upcoming ability to have MORE themes. I can't say I'm a very big fan of the current two, at all.

Hi rccadden, yes and we are rushing to have it all figured out for third party theme makers.
The fourth theme by us will be a very simple one, but is always impossible to reach all the tastes =) so having people being able to do more... while I believe will not generate tens of themes, will at least generate a few brand new, fresh-air themes to the app =)

No rush, better to have it working well than halfway working. All in all I'm enjoying Canola. It's the best media player for in-vehicle use, imo.

We have a full "Canola Car Edition" in Plans, but this would take longer : / but a theme can help in some weak spot.

For in car use, the buttons need to be big enough that I should only need to glance when driving. I'll give it some use today and tomorrow and shoot you a PM with things I thing could be improved.

yes, bigger buttons are the first thing, but if you can have even more deep suggestions like ( buttons would be better to be on the right, near to where I drive - or customizable for UK / US e.g. ) other things like (hey album covers, should start playing the first sound of that album because in thr car is difficult to do the scrolling in the second album view.
