Each time i'll try to update the new rom, the update process stops at 46-47% > 'cannot write??'

I'll tried it several times on 2 different computer but no luck.

A strange thing is that i can flash the old rom succesfully?

What could be wrong?

Update: after removing de memorycard the update completed!

You've probably already cheked these, but worth a mention because some people forget to.

Double check that you're in USB mode and not fully running.
Check the MD5 and make sure that the download wasn't corrupted.

I had the same problem yesterday. I had to reflash with the previous version and retry and I had no problems.

Try to download the binaries from http://www.maemo.org/downloads/nokia_770?f=Nokia_770_SE2005_5_2006_13_7.bin

Had the same problem. Think my download was corrupted because when I downloaded it again and flashed it once more it was ok. (And I too first reflashed with the old image and then the new.)

Same here. I downloaded the first, presumably corrupted version, from http://europe.nokia.com/nokia/0,,79633,00.html.

The one from http://www.maemo.org/downloads/nokia_770?f=Nokia_770_SE2005_5_2006_13_7.bin flashed fine.

I remember I had a very similiar problem with the last image I downloaded from the nokia-site; it seems sometimes the files you get from there simply dont work. a new download might help, but still it should be possible to fix this problem. :)
