Would it be at all possible to install and run TeamSpeak on the 770? I mean from the directions they give on the site, it doesn't seem too hard, but I don't know about the whole ARM processor deal.

ftp://ftp.freenet.de/pub/4players/teamspeak.org/releases/ts2_client_rc2_2032.tar.bz2
that's the only link they have for the client.

Hello,
I am also interisted in TS for N800/770! So I have written an eMail to them and ask for the Sourcecode witch they really won't give away I think. But I also ask for a Version fpr the Nokia N800/770. So, if other people ask too it will be possible to get one!
Here the eMailaddress of them: info@teamspeak-systems.de
So, lets hope,
Holly

Sorry to the burst your bubble, but it is not open source :(
The only way you may get it on there is to email the suppliers
Contact page for the company can be found here (http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=contact)
They do have a linux client (http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads) though :)

It would be so nice to have a TS client, though only the Teamspeak creators themselves could take care of that. Anyone asked them already?

Then go complain to the developers. It's not open source. No one here can do anything about it. And no one cares about your frustrations.

We've got Mumble, the OSS equivalent though.
It actually works just as well as TS, IMHO, but on more devices.
Also, being free, server hosting is cheaper as the hosts don't have to pay per slot.

Just use one of the dozens of open-source VNC clients+servers: tightvnc, tiger, vino, x11vnc. x11vnc server was ported for Maemo4 so probably available for Maemo5 and there is a good vncviewer client as well. Yeah it's not the same and auth isn't compatible but still. Also you can combine hamachi/logmein or even ntop's n2n p2p VPN + one of the VNC servers + clients I mentioned.

I installed gingerbread 2.3 to install ts3 but it says my device is unsupported. Even with android on n900 we can not install it :(
Is there some workaround to install it on nitdroid?
