I'm a bit confused - is there anywhere on the site a magic link to find all posts thanked by me? I mean, when I thank someone, not someone thanks me. Hope my poor english sounds right:p
Such a link is pretty useful if you want to find a post which you thanked for its usefulness and now you want to refresh that usefulness in mind.

Yes. Click on Search at the top of the forums, and there's a link there for "Find all Thanked Posts (http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/post_thanks.php?do=findallthanks)"

Yes, but that doesn't show me just posts that I've thanked.

Go to your profile page (or anybody else's!) and click the "Find all thanked posts by <name in profile>" link in the upper left hand box.

Not quite, that finds all posts by that user, which are thanked by anyone; we're after posts by anyone, that have been thanked by that user...

ah, so the option should be named "Find all posts by <user> that have been thanked", then... because it's very misleading as currently named.

Still don't get it. ;)
We want a page that shows all of the posts that I, personally, have clicked the "Thanks!" on. Not all thanked posts, not all of my thanked posts, not all of anybody else's thanked posts. . . .

Correct, I am the only person here that matters, as you are all just figments of my disturbed imagination. ;)

For the record, I get significantly more than I usually get credit for, and certainly more than you're giving me credit for.
1) the OP (and you!) are looking for all thanked posts from a specific user.
2) There's a link in everybody's profile, titled "Find all thanked posts by <username>"
3) Despite its location or name, the link mentioned in #2 does not satisfy the request in #1.
so, what is it that you think I "don't get" ?

No, we want to see the posts on which WE clicked the thanks button on.

Seemingly, what we're actually looking for. ;)
There seems to be a rather significant amount of confusion around the semantics involved here so, really, who the hell knows.

oh, my turn.

you still don't get it.
You'd like a way to see a list of posts on which you've clicked "Thanks", and there is an option in the profile that would seem *by it's name* to provide exactly that, but it doesn't -- instead, it provides a list of posts by the user on which other users have clicked "Thanks".

/me shrugs. The name can go both ways.
If you "got" the request, why throw a monkey wrench into the works by bringing up a feature that everybody involved seems to understand doesn't provide the functionality we're looking for?

Instead of just thanking, subscribe to the thread.

Yeah, that's right, but having a 'thanked' bookmark is far more useful when it comes to pieces of code and like. And threads on ITT can be 30-pages long...

Perhaps the same reason that folks have "thanked" your posts in this thread, wherein you didn't actually provide any "helpful" information, and instead used the opportunity to denigrate another member of this forum and flaunt your perceived superiority. :)
If everyone agrees "you are right", will that keep you from also making sure to get the 'last word' in the thread, as well?

Wow dude, you really, really read me wrong here. :\
You're seeing some horrible, vicious, condescending attitude in my posts that simply isn't there.
I apologize for the misunderstanding, perhaps I should've used a less exasperated and condescending-sounding phrase in my first reply.

gee people... Another case of exploading a thread by useless chatter rather than trying to find a solution

It looks like Version 7.2 (01/24/08): of this hack has what we want
> NEW Added option to view all posts a user has thanked.

You have to clarify what you're after before you can get a solution to it. ;)

Well, post #2 would seem to say not. Especially bad considering that that's the only guy who can fix it for us.

true. but #3 and #4 correct it. If Reggie visited here more often, then maybe he would have seen the confusion and found a fix for it.
But no, so here we are another 20 posts closer to pushing poor Texrat over the edge

The new version of the add-on has been installed. View your profile and there's a link there to view all the posts you thanked.

[hiding behind couch] does anyone know how to find posts in which I was thanked?
I see my number increase from time to time but have no idea how to find out who thanked me or for which post. [Thanks - oops sorry]
