I have a T-Mobile RAZR V3 and It won't connect to google.com unless I use a proxy, it had not been an issue for me until I started using googletalk. With the proxy (getmorespeed.voicestream.com 8080) on I can get to google.com but googletalk will not connect. If I turn off the proxy I can get googletalk and all other websites, except google sites including gmail.

I contacted T-mobile and they stated that it is a software bug that all RAZR's have and they are waiting for a patch from Motorola.

Does anyone out here believe this? Is anyone else having this issue also, according to T-Mobile "all" RAZR's have this problem.

Can anyone else confirm

I don't believe it for a second. If you do a search here, you'll find this subject has been discussed several times, and may be some sort of MTU problem. But it's T-mobile's problem, and not related to the phone in any way.

I've had the same problem with a V3 as well as my t509, though I'm running the $20/mo. VPN package.

Brad.

What really sux is that I can not have Maemo Mapper downloading maps at the same time I am available for googletalk chats.

Have you found any workaround? I would just use the proxy, but when I turn it on googletalk stops working.

crap!!!

I can't use google without the proxy too. Its an MTU issue. I'm using an unlocked Sony Ericsson w600. I wish T-mobile would get their shiz together.
