VPNC over Bluetooth Doesn't work

I'm using a N800 and a Sprint a940 phone. I can connect to the Cisco VPN server but there seems to be a routing problem because I can't see any remote IP addresses. Could this be becuase the Bluetooth connection doesn't have a IP address so the VPNC scripts can't assign an endpoint IP or default route?

Has anyone come across this problem before? Any suggestions for fixes?
