It looks like a great idea, if one is on a place with no cellphone internet, or wifi, for the nokia 770. The olnly bad thing is the price $150, for a anyware diaulup modem, but great for contry places, not usban were wifi is easy to find.
It's perfect to have when there is no Ethernet or WiFi available. You can use it with almost any Bluetooth enabled mobile computer that supports a Dial-up Networking (DUN) client...Just connect the Modem to any analog phone line..., bond with your Bluetooth enabled mobile computer and enjoy ... without a cord up to 100 meters...The Cordless 56K Modem includes a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery that supplies 3 hours of solid usage."

Yeah. That does acually look interesting. But at $150, it's almost beside the point. For $150, I could get... well, I could get something other than this. You could get an airport, or something like that, that'd just plug into an ethernet port. You'd need ethernet, which is sometimes even rarer than wifi, but it's not terrible. It's definately avaliable.

Yeah, the price is the problem, but if you are in a hotel, or place where the only link to civilization its a phone line, this modem is the best thing in th world, to check a very important email, or something like that. For people in rural places, were technology is not avalable

Yeah but think about it. I dont know too many ISPs with 1-800 numbers and otherwise you're paying LD if travelling... not to mention that'd be either at hotel rates or guessing the amt to pay whoever was nice enough to let you use their phoneline.

www.wiflyer.com. I have no association with this company. I tried this in brazil and it worked! Used my 770 to connect wifi to this modem on dialup. It also has ethernet port. Several 770's can surf at the same time on this modem! NOT JUST 1.

I second the wiflyer modem. Works great if you use dialup.

Let's see. $20 (Bluetooth USB dongle) + $25 (USB modem) = WHY DOES THIS STUPID THING COST $150?

Wait long enough, the price will come down...
