OK, I need the brains of the collective geniuses on these boards to help me out with a most vexing problem.

First off...the new OS is great, flashed without a hitch, and I love the new features.

My problem is Google-related. I set up my GoogleTalk account in the 770 (username, password, etc.) and it would not authenticate. I made sure I was signed off from GT/GMail on my PC, and even changed my password...twice...to see if I could get it to log on/authenticate. I happen to have a second GM/GT account, so I set it up on the 770, and it works PERFECTLY. I can IM and phone my wife's GT account with no problems.

So, please, can anyone tell my why one GT account will work on the 770, and another won't? I have tried everything I could think of with the first account, and I can't get logged on. I have done nothing different with the second account, and it works like a charm. I have also verified that I can still log on to the non-working GT account on my PC and my wife's PC.

Any ideas?

I see a related thread was already started on this topic, but the suggestion in that thread did not work. Has anyone had this issue on the new (non-beta) release of OS 2006? Has anyone figured out why some GTalk accounts are not working?

It seems to act the same as the BETA, mine crashes when I get invitations,

You would think that the major new feature in this upgrade would not have such a fundamental flaw!
