View Full Version : [Canola] Install/Update requires 'python 2.5 terra'

I had Canola2 installed and got an update notification. When I tried to update, it failed because it wanted Python 2.5 terra(?). This doesn't appear on the installable applications list, so I tried uninstalling Canola2 and installing the new version, assuming it would install whatever it needed, but it still refused to install.

So can someone tell me how to I get the latest Canola 2 installed? Where do I get this python stuff?

Disable extras-devel and everything will be fine

Thanks for the assistance, but I don't know what extras-devel is... How do I disable it?

Open Application manager and then from Tools->Application catalog menu select maemo Extras Devel (could some other name too) for editing and check Disabled box.

Ah - got it (Maemo Extras Development)... and Canola has now installed correctly :)

Many thanks for your help
