Could someone post a sticky or one liner in the buy/sell forum to tell peeps that they need X number of posts before PM works?
There seems to be many new users recently posting to sell and unable to receive pm's.
I could not quickly find what X equals in the FAQ.

I have also been looking for this info with no luck.

I think it might be 5; PMing Reggie to alert him to this thread.
I think, though, that contact via email (inbound) works for all new members if they set it up. Also, if I posted a FS/FT/WTB thread, I think I'd make sure my email was setup to avoid potential buyer/seller/swapper headaches. (Hmm... is my email setup? Must check...)

You become a regular member after 5 posts.
I have disabled PMs for new members since there are spam bots who spam members by sending PMs. I have tried setting PMs to 1 but they are smart enough to empty their Sent folders so they can keep sending PMs.
For those selling something, I suggest including a contact email, but don't provide email addresses in clear text. Use something like "my at email dot com."

It is faster to googlesearch than to forum search.
So 5 it is. Thanks for clearing it up!
