1.) I was trying to install an app but the connection was interrupted, now I cant ninstall said application what can I do?

2.) Where can I find A list of proven items which will speedup the nokia? I have heard about increasing the swap file size.

3.) Wht kind of battery life should I be getting when in use and connected to wifi the nokia is estimating 3 hours.

1. Need more information.
2. Browse the Maemo.org wiki -- lots of useful information there.
3. After a full charge, 4-5 hrs, maybe more.

2. you can increase the swap size by going to settings > control panel > memory and set it to the max.

3. depending on how much cpu usage, usually i get about 3-5 hours with the browser and chat running (gmail uses lots of processing power :) )

i was installing flight of the amazons and now it shows up in the installed apps but uninstallation fails

After attempting to uninstall it, click the Menu button and go to Tools->Log. Copy/paste that here.

Does it allow you to reinstall e.g. does it appear in your Installable Updates section? If it does, I would try reinstalling then removing, like it says...

Well then, install "rootsh" (from Extras), and open the application X Terminal. Type:


sudo gainroot
apt-get -f install


Tell me what that does/says.
