Germany with nearly 20% visitors ... that's a surprise

Hey, more Canadians than Dutch...

I checked out Canada's top sites. Pornhub is at 28th spot, just above Rogers, one of the biggest cable providers, mobile phone providers, and ISPs in the country. PirateBay is just below RedTube, and a bit above CIBC (a major bank with branches in almost every town). Lots of fun seeing the national character...

I have more faith in Netcraft... but take all these stats with a big grain of salt...

Very interesting, even if it's maybe not completly accurate.

Given how U.S.-centric topics here usually are, it's surprising to see that more than two thirds of the visitors are from outside the U.S.

There is probably also linking from native forums. And these mobile devices are relatively popular in Germany. They tend to like 'em there. Was the same with Zaurus.

US has 10% more viewer then any other country and we still can't get Conference here :)

Ok I just checked maemo.org (http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/maemo.org) that site is viewed in germany 2 times as much as in us. You guys win.

Well, Germany comes in a strong second, has hosted every Maemo Summit to date, and still can't get a German language sub-forum.

Yep. Given how often I see colleagues toying around with a N700/800/810, I wouldn't be suprised to hear that more Nokia Internet Tablets are being sold in Germany than iPhones or Blackberrys. ;)

Wow, every single summit?! ALL of them?

And after looking at the Wikipedia article, I realize now that we're looking primarily at statistics generated by a piece of spyware that infects the Internet Explorer of the gullible. So now we know how many gullible IE users visit each site... ;)

Speaking of statistics and popularity: both the Nokia 770/N8x0 and iPod touch are popular solution for a mobile, WiFi device for web browsing. (http://ask.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=09/03/08/2337201)

sjgadsby is likely throwing LinuxTag into that mix. :) So, the only two Maemo-focused get togethers we've had so far have been in Germany.

Nah, I was just being sensationalistic. I thought it fitting, given the whole thread is built upon statistics of dubious veracity.

And qole, I just noticed your new sig. Nice.
