nokia 770 sound problem

i was trying to convert a dvd to my nokia 770 since i thought it will be great to watch dvds without buying a dvd player. the converting went well but the biggest problem i have was lack of sound. i downloaded the trial for this software and tried this for like 3 times and still the movie is playing but i hear no sound, i tried turning up all the volumes in the nokia 770 but no sound. Can you tell what is wrong and how do i fix the problem ? and is there a software that is perfect to bring dvds with sound onto my nokia 770 ?

I'm pretty new to this but I downloaded Media Convertor and it converts pretty much whatever I want to watch on the 770!
You may want to try that. Should be in the apps section or at Maemo.org.

I'd like to second that: Media Converter is one kick-*ss app. Yes, it may not produce the theoretically best possible output file, but let's face it, we're not putting movies on our 770 to enjoy a home theatre experience, right?

Media Converter is more than good enough...
