Karma points linked to ITT Thanks/Posts??

I was looking at qole's profile and I noticed he has Karma ppoints from ITT posts and Thanks

Mine does not have this

I looked at my profile and under ITT I have my name penguinbait.

Anyone tell me whats going on?

You need to edit your maemo account page to point to your itt profile, have you done this?

In the floating bar, once you've logged in at maemo.org, click Page > Edit Account, then paste in your user summary page from itt into the correct section. For you it will be this: http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/member.php?u=1181

If there's still an issue, and you've had this updated for a few days (as I don't know how fast the updates are made), then please open a bug against the website. I'm still having issues with Discussion Karma, so not everything is working as expected... yet ;)

I think that you just have to click on your name at the top of ITT and use that URL? I just did that with mine and it seems to work when you click on the ITT link on your maemo.org profile. We'll have to wait and see if that works.

I think I read somewhere on here that the karma gets calculated on a periodic basis? I think we have to wait for the next calculation.

Isuppose that this is one of those things that should be in a wiki, or something the council should look into?

Yes, the karma update process runs periodically. It may be once a day, but I'm not sure of that.

For me simply logging in would not do it. I had to click on my name which took me to a "profile" page before "page" in the floating bar became active.

It took me a day to figure that out. The dang floating bar covered my name.

My account on maemo.org was already configured in the right way, but yet no karma from thanks and posts on Itt forums is available.

I want my karma.

it can take a while. IIRC the karma job (whenever it may be running..... once a day, once a week, every hour... i have no idea) only takes a few profiles each times and re-calculates their karma. so it could well be other people's karma has been updaten meanwhile but yours hasn't.

(of course this doesn't rule out the possibility that there's still something wrong with your profile or with the karma calculations. i'd just recommend to wait one week before taking further action)

Yeah, iirc re-processing the entire set of maemo.org users takes multiple days, might be worth pinging XFade on irc to ask what the interval is.
