*twitch*twitch* Must not feed addiction. hehe. Man, if I had the cash, I'd buy five more of these at the drop of a hat. (yeah, they're that addictive.) Good thing I'm broke. ;)

I just bought one on buy.com, very good price !!! But with shipping (3-5 days) and taxes, it is more around $227

You should have used the free shipping option. I bought my N810 from buy.com and magically it was delivered the next day! Happened only once though.

Now Amazon.com joined the club, also $199 with free shipping, matching buy.com. Usually what happened like the N800, several major vendors cut the price and stock disappear in a couple of days and End-of-Life sale.....that also signals a new product is coming out soon....

Wow. It may be a stock clearance, but I'm still thrilled to see them for sale like this. It's going to take a lot of willpower (and an empty bank account) to keep me from buying another one. lol. Darn these addictions. ;)

You seems to be right, I took the option 3-5 days delivery ($7). It has been shipped today and they plan a delivery for tomorrow !!

Price has now dropped to $180, which includes shipping. Could it go any lower?

If only they had the same deals in the UK, looks like Play's £170 is still the cheapest here. My N800 is lucky for the time being...

At 180, I'm seriously thinking of getting one for the car. That's... impulse buying level for me.

But knowing that I'll get no updates on my favorite commercial apps and the OS bothers me enough to resist.

wow only 3 gas tanks!

Only if you are driving a car, which is very rare nowadays in US, most people own SUV/vans :) For the SUV, it barely makes 2 tanks

New customer, get 30$ off from applying a credit card from buy.com, this cuts down to $179.99$ - 30$ = $149.99. After receiving the tablet, drop the credit card is fine if you do not like the credit card. Decision is whether one wants to get/wait for Rover...

The Buy.com "video" talks about WiMax built in but the features on the page only mention WiFi. Does the device have WiMax and WiFi or just WiFi?

JayOnThaBeat

Just Wifi.

The N810 WiMax edition has WiMax (obviously)...

(if you are in the US, WiMax is only available in Baltimore)

I live in the Baltimore area - so the Buy.com sale is NOT the WiMax version and the Video is not about what they are selling?

Ya, ur lookin @ like $350+ for the WiMax version, if you can find it... pretty pricey IMO.

i don't understand why nokia couldn't transfer the wimax (popular in southern Asia) project to create a N810 3G. it's similar technology

simard57

I agree - the $180 for WiMax was tempting - it is tempting for just WiFi. I will wait and see since it is a want and not a need :)
thanx

Well, I'm gonna be a devil's advocate here and say that they didn't make the jump because the existing design is too expensive. Plus there were design issues that could only really be solved with a new tablet. Plus, with Omap3, who still wants to bother with an old Omap2 processor anyways? I know it's a bit of a pain, but dang, sign me up for the new 3's. They sound slick. :)

I saw the 180 price and just barely missed it so I went to amazon instead for 199 free shipping. Threw in an 8gb card and some adapters because I am still confused what size card the N810 takes.

I stocked mine at $199 then at one point I wanted to stock again when Nokia made $150 offer!
Seems they are running out of N810s.

N810 takes Mini SD, not micro or normal SD, but mini, which is nowhere to be found as far as Walmart, Target, Best Buy, etc. is concerned. Get a micro-to-mini adapter and you can grab any micro card and use that.

Boy, that was a short sale...it was $179.99 when I posted, but I must have created a whirlwind of sales in the last 20 minutes.....

Ahh, yes they must of sold out, this one is being sold by
Electronica Direct via Buy's marketplace

I'd keep checking back as they obviously get some more in stock now and then...

I guess the only concern is if a place sometimes gets 1-2 that they put on sale is that those may be returned, for whatever reason, units.

Looks like buy.com has ran out of n810 or something. Both buy.com and Amazon is selling the n810 through a reseller, Electronica Direct, maybe n900 coming soon?

Lord Raiden
07-01-2009, 08:16 PM
n900 is a phone. You're thinking of the nx-71 (I think that's what we've settled on is the next possible device prototype ID) which is due late this year. Announcement is rumored to be coming this month, but I'm holding my breath and expecting more like a Q4/09 or a Q2/10 announcement at this point.

As for them running out, it's likely that they simply ran out of stock on the last run. If the n810's last run sold good enough, they'll do one more run, but that's likely it. Although I wouldn't hold your breath.
