On the outskirts of Chicago... so no.
Go 60mi south however, and the sky's lit up like a christmas tree. (ahh, city life ;))

(sorry, I know nothing of meteorology or whatever the science is called that follows that type of thing :))

Clouds + rain most of the night, and the moon isn't helping either. Oh well. Will try to take a few snaps tonight, if not, better luck next year :)

If you don't have any luck with actual stars, you can look at the Google logo for taday :)

normally I have the perfect view of the night sky here in Maui, Hawaii. But right now we are getting the effects of a Tropical storm. So nothing but clouds and rain for us.

...pretty good here in the bay area, low in the horizon and surprisingly close to the 1/2+ moon...

Here in southern Manitoba, Canada, the showers were not as good as I had hoped. Nevertheless, I did try to take some pics, which I have not looked at yet. The moon was a hassle and tended to wash out the sky...
