Being a Windows user I'm used to having to perform maintenance and tune ups to keep Windows running. Is there anything necessary on the N810 to keep performance at maximum?
George
Generally no, but try not to let the root filesystem become too full - JFFS2 uses more RAM as usage grows, which affects performance system-wide.

how can I prevent it?? (Windows user too :) )
Don't install too many apps that you don't need and try to keep your files on memory cards.

you might also want to check and delete the contents of the directory that holds your mails:
when you delete mails from within your mail client, the disappear from the list but are never actually deleted from the file system.
