Hi, there,
I need a replacement stylus (or two).
Can anyone recommend one?
one poster recommended at pdapanache this one: Mid-size aluminum industrial stylus
Part No.: MSTYLI
Price: $9.00
are there standard sizes? I want one that fits inside the case when I close it.

I doubt you would find one that fits inside the case, there are no standard sizes.
There are plenty of third-party stilii out there for PDAs, etc.
Nokia do provide replacement stilii, see http://direct.nokia.com/Product.aspx?model=Stylus

Not in the US. I need some Nokia ones too. Anyone want to sell me one or two?

The 770 stylus is unique--similar to that of the Apple Newton, but much smaller. Some reviews have panned the stylus, but IMNSHO, I consider them fools. That said, finding a stylus to fit into the 770 slot will be near impossible!

Infidel! Fatwah!
Nothing is similar to the Newton! :D
With that out of the way, the best stylus, for me, is a simple Bic throwaway automatic pencil, with the pencil lead not sticking out, obviously. I have several lying around the house on strategically chosen spots.

...the details of an automatic pencil or other "multifunction" device (like pencil+pen+whatever+stylus). I would invariably write with the wrong tip.
BTW, I owned a Newton (well, it belonged to the University). There was a promotion at some point and I was sent a stylus engraved with my name. I need to dig that thing up since I got to keep the stylus, but I had to turn the Newton back in. About all I ever used the Newt for was to show friends how hilariously it mangled handwriting recognition.

As a diety, I have diplomatic immunity to any such nonsense.
