Reading Maemo Summit submissions (http://wiki.maemo.org/Maemo_Summit_2009/Submissions), I've found Hands on development with Nokia Web Runtime (http://wiki.maemo.org/Maemo_Summit_2009/Submissions#Hands-on_development_with_Nokia_Web_Runtime).

As far as I know, this runtime is webkit based. Will be there a new mozilla based web runtime or maemo 5 will come with two renders (gecko and webit)? Or is this submission totally out of maemo scope?

Perhaps it could be possible to develop a gecko based runtime for widgets development following web standards... (just an idea) ;)

Ask the submitter of that proposal? :-)

Well, latest FF and WebKit doesn't differ very much in terms of features, though some things are done differently.

HTML 5 Storage is the main diff :)

I see that it's no longer in that list. Google has it cached though, it was there. I wonder why it's not there any more :/

Max.
