Preorder or Pick Up?

I live in Canada, and I'm wondering if I should pick up the device from New York (flagship store) or, preorder, have it shipped to a P.O. box. Any thoughts or opinions?

Well, which is easier for you? Also do you have to pay any special customs or tax for products shipped across boarders? (I know things in Canada tend to be more expensive in general). Or is that just general shipping costs?

Is the P.O. box secure (remember this is a $600+ dollar device).
