I got an email from Amazon saying it needs some kind of Approval to extend its pre order .

I'm waiting until later to see how this fiasco shakes out.
I'm canceling my Amazon order.
I'll wait until Nokia starts behaving professionally.
In the meantime, I'm going to continue tinkering with the SDK......

Go buy yourself the HD2 that will be released on Nov.11th. HTC is pretty good about releasing a product on the date specified. At the rate all this **** is going, and the phone call I got earlier today, it'll probably be early next year before we get our ****...

I think I've fallen through the looking-glass......I'm now seriously considering whether to continue my rather Amish lifestyle (with no cellphone etc) and cancel my N900 and walk away from this whole scene.
The ice-cold disregard for client expectations is really beginning to eat away at me.
This isn't a joke.
Someday when I'm bored, I'm going to count all the times you've said you're not going to get an N900.

So..... in the interest of inexorably marching this thread count on towards 2000....
Do we know if we are getting that nifty little adapter to change our current (small barrel) nokia chargers into chargers for the N900?
I have a car trip that I will be taking very soon after I (hopefully) get the N900 and it would be nice if my car charger would work. :D

Can anyone check the nokiausa website to see if the avaliablity of end of october is still there please. I went to the website, it didnt show anything. And I tried to add the n900 to the basket I would get a 404 Error.

Because it isn't anti-glare and I've noticed that even clear screen protectors still leave quite a few fingerprints, whereas anti-glare because they are semi dark, hide them very well. Plus anti-glare helps during the day, and keeping light from reflecting.

i've seen some hopeful news.
expansys initially had an available date fluctuating between 31st October and 1st november. i've checked today and the estimated arrival date is "2 DAYS" :D:D

the german online-shop -alternate- told me a few minutes ago that they will get the phones on 22th of october from there distributer
(but on there site the release date is "december")

When I rang Nokia UK yesterday, I was told that they were going to be shipped out late October/early November. This is of course just one of the guys in sales, but I'd hope they'd have some advice as to what's going on there.
Please, somebody must rename this thread to "N900holics Anonymous Group Therapy".

If Nokia solds you a device like this for 600€ and your operator doesn't let you connect to their 3G network, it would be a *HUGE FAIL* for Nokia.
Why should the operator *not* let me connect to their Network? I pay them for that.
