I really like bubbling in conversations where your messages are on left aligned with your avatar on the left, and the user you are chatting with is right aligned with his/her avatar on the right. Is this possible in conversations?

No, THANK GOD. lol
You probably could add it if you were so inclined though.

lame, is it possible for me to do this myself? Anybody know where I would start? not necessarily the same coloured look, but on opposite sides witha an alternating colour would be perfect.

You'd have to take a whack at the source for Conversation. Honestly, I don't see it being possible unless you had some programming help... if the code is even open for that app to begin with.

That looks like it would be a useful feature to me, too, although I'm not sure why you call it "bubbling". Does anyone know if Conversations is open-source?

Conversation views are just HTML/CSS, so it shouldn't be that hard. I don't know if it will be open source though.

I don't know the actual name, I just use digsby and the conversation theme i use is called "Modern Bubbling"
How can I find out if the conversation "themes" are accessible/replaceable? Html/Css themes would be perfect for this, that's something I could work on myself.
Thank you!

Anybody find out about this? I really want this feature lol, alternating colours at least, but the opposing avatars would be great too.

If i reinstall the sdk, can I take a look at that html/css? How would I go about finding where that is? I'd love to take a stab at it myself.
On Conversations, i have the avatars of both people on the left, with my name in a different colour to the other person's. It's much more readable that way as the time and date stamp is on the right hand side.
This is for both Gtalk and Skype (the only ones I am using - waiting for MSN and Yahoo to end up in Extras before testing as I already have access to them on my Blackberry Bold).
If you must, personally I would prefer the text to stay in the middle, and the time/date stamp and avatar be on the other side for one of the people.
What would be more useful would be the possibility of inviting others to existing "conversations" like you can on MSN and Yahoo. And if that were to be implemented, I would exepcted a 3rd colour, 4th colour etc for that person, but what would happen with the speech bubbles? After all, you can only have 2 people to make it flow on screen.
