Hey,

now that people have played a bit with their n900, could you tell us more about the sync stuff? I'm especially interested in the device to device synchronisation, between two phones (will I be able to sync my contacts from the Sony-Ericsson phone I have?) and between the n900 and my laptop (using bluetooth or wireless lan).

Does the n900 publish some syncML stuff? Does it works fine? Which soft do you use on a Linux box? (I'm not really interested in the syncML servers, like funambol)

Cheers and thanks,

Hi,

I tried the import process between my N900 and my SE K850 via Bluetooth but it didn't work.

I didn't try between the N900 and my Ubuntu laptop, then went to use Google Contacts and Mail for Exchange in the N900 and it's now working.

I will try to sync my N900 with my Ubuntu tonight and report.

The developer of syncevolution posted to the maemo-developer mailing list that he is searching for a maintainer of this project for maemo5:

Unfortunately there was no feedback. I'm not a developer but I used syncevolution for a long time on Maemo 4. It's a fantastic piece of software and it would be great if someone would take this challenge.

I always would be ready to test it once it will run on my N900. :-)

Please see also: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=37034 and vote for this solution.
