Hi people
I can't seem to find info on what kind of encryption the N900 supports under Maemo5
Can someone check if 802.1x EAP (PEAP) encryption is supported under wifi?
Diablo does Not support 802.1x EAP (PEAP) encryption, So I wonder if this newer wifi encryption is added in The new OS (I have to use mer to stay connected if i'm using my n800, but if I buy N900 I really want the benefit of the new OS)
Best Regards Jakob

I asked a Nokia guy at the store meetup this question and according to him it is supported, but I haven't seen any other confirmation.

I'd love to know if 802.1x EAP LEAP or TLS is supported. they aren't on the 770 or the 810. which means no wifi for me at work :-(
I wouldn't know how to check without being next to such an access point. I never got my n810 to work at my old college I guess this is why!
Anyways n900 uses wl1251 according to dmesg, which is this I think:

The kernel is 2.6.28.

Is your question about same issue as in eduroam bug in https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1635
If yes, then that combination is not supported in N900

no, but now you mention, It would be nice if eduroam works on n900 aswell.
eduroam is btw working fine on my n800 in opposition to EAP PEAP

Anybody feel free to vote for your favorite bug reports in bugs.maemo.org. There are several open tickets, just query in the "Connectivity" product.
It might help to have some idea of what the problem is - as has been pointed out in the bugzilla postings, implementing this shouldn't be a massive challenge, and it would open up virtually the whole of eduroam, which is a big, big project.
