hand drawn theme and icon help needed.

working on a hand drawn theme. and would very much love any info on how many icons there are. i read 700. no prob as im up for the challenge. any help would be welcomed.

pencil and paint. but the only issue is there is not a unique style to maemo.org. if you guys could give me any suggestions it would help me with a starting point.

What drawing style do you have? Cartoonish (Matt Groening, Alan Moore), Look like real life (Rembrandt), abstract/surrealistic (Picasso/Salvadore Dali), Gritty and surrealistic (Jhonen Vasquez - Johny The Homicidal Maniac) or Childish with two left hands (like myself)? :)

Just an idea:
Most icons have like a border (allmost same size even though they look different) so if you made that border same size but stylishly made some of the colour flow outside (like the icons were floating or moving) But just alittle bit outside so you could still line them up (with out them touching) if you wanted to do that. Perhaps border shouldnt be visible... more like mikec's example.

Looking at theese again I'm starting to think theyre maybe too ordinary... Maybe if done with acrylics maybe with paint breaching the icon itself... hmm just brainstormin' here :confused:

these drawings remind me of the graffiti wall in liqbase :)
