How do you make the full screen keyboard appear?

By default you can press with your finger in the input area to get it to come up, but it's not very good at predicting when you want it or not. If you go in to the text input settings [via the keyboard menu or the Control panel], go to the "Finger" tab, and check "Launch via rocker key". That will allow you to bring up the full screen keyboard by pressing the select button on the D-pad when entering text.
