Client for ICQ and IRC

Hi!

First, I'm completely new with the Nokia 770 (more precisely: I will get it next weekend).

So I'm looking for an IRC- and ICQ-chat client like Gaim or X-Chat. I've seen that on the maemo application list for OS 2005, but whats about OS 2006? Can I use the built-in IM-client to chat on IRC and ICQ?

No, you need to install gaim with the IRC and ICQ protocols - use the application manager to install gaim and the protocols by adding the repositories specified in the Application Catalog (http://maemo.org/maemowiki/ApplicationCatalog2006#head-7a166196bc374deeaac7901447ef8ec0dc6ea166) entry.

I've got xchat and gaim running on my OS2006.

I even copied my configs from my desktop (running ubuntu) over to the 770 an everything runs perfect. :)
