This is a multi-poll session to find out about the problems we all have with the Nokia 770.
Hopefully, we should be able to tell where most of the 770 that have the problem are at.
Mine was sent to Entronix (Rogers, MN)
When my N770 broke (white screen of death) I visited Helsinki Mobile Service (http://www.hms.fi/) on a friday, 15 minutes before closing time. They notified me on monday afternoon that they've fixed it - replaced the screen. Nice fast service.

Freeman:
When did you send yours in, and did you recieve it back yet? Mine arrived Dec 1st, and is still not repaired. I was offered 240$ by nokia support, but they would not send me a new nokia 770, and stated they had no refurbished ones. Starting to h8 nokia!!!!

They didn't send me a refurb, they sent me a brand new one. The fact that they are not doing that now says something is in the wind.

Mine went to Huntsville Al for WSOD middle November and was there for about three weeks. I got the same MAC address back so I assume I got mine back.

Wish mine had the same MAC Address. It went down to Fort Worth TX or wherever they send their stuff to in Tx.

rattis, was your a WSOD? Why did they send you a new one, was it over 30days? I am starting to get tempted to take the money and wait for an updated model. I could also pay the 349 at compusa and then the extra 100$ for service plan, which includes free upgrade when the next model comes out.
I am just mad! I didn't even bother calling in again today, maybe I will harass them again tomorrow.

I bought it in April, and got the WSOD in July.

I bought in February, got a non booting condition about 12-15. Sent it to Minnesota and it arrived 12/20. Been "repair in progress" for the last two weeks. I'll give them another 2 weeks and then I'll start harassing them.
$240 does not sound fair. They must replace or repair. If a new one costs $300, they owe you $300.

djs_tx: I think you are correct, unfortunately Nokia does not feel the same way. I am assuming Rattis got his replaced with a new one because of the WSOD.
I dont know, I was really considering waiting for the next model and taking the money. But it could be months or more before another model comes out, so I am not taking the money. I guess I just wait and see how long it will take them. I could send a via snail mail, a letter to the warranty arbitration team, but I just do not have that much energy. I will unhappily wait for the return of my tablet.
Has anyone tried the warranty arbitration team at Nokia?

It would have been nice if I could have sent mine to the facility (Entronix) 30 minutes from my house but I had to send it to PALCO. I could have dropped the damn thing off on my commute. It has been awaiting parts for 3 weeks. What's the usual wait time?
Thanks.
