Browsing this site on the N900

These are the issues that I came across while using this site:

1. when tapping on items under Active topics in the bottom right part of the screen, it takes me to the last page mostly, but many times just to a random page of the thread
2. when typing in a post, the focus just randomly drops out to the address bar
3. scrolling while posting also produces stochastic results
4. when the subject is being typed into, the ajax similarity search starts and I end up missing some letters sometimes

Any ideas as to how to better the browsing of this site is much appreciated.

i've noticed when in a thread the next button only half shows and last button is missing on n900 browser

5. for whatever reason on the main page if I scroll down to Maemo 5 or below only the top part of the screen gets rendered, the bottom part is just tiny checkered boxes. I have to sometimes wiggle up and down to get the bottom part rendered.

Have you tried using a different theme? Classic Light/Dark seems to work better.

Damn you beat me too it, i created a post for this / or have at least commented on many occasions on this :) - might need a disclaimer on the site for N900 viewers!
Does the same happen on the n800 etc?

changing theme is not a solution b/c i lose many features like he active topics side bar and i don't always login on my n900 so woud not see other skins any way.

Using the minimalist-dark theme on my N900, it claims I have "Thanks!: 177", whereas with the regular TMO theme, it claims I've been "Thanked: 154 times".

You've thanked others 177 times. Others have thanked you 154 times. So, it appears minimalist-dark is pulling in the wrong number. Would you be willing to use the "Report A Forum Bug" link (https://bugs.maemo.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=maemo.org%20Website&component=Talk) to submit a report of this problem?

I have this same issue on my laptop with firefox so I'm not sure that it is just n900 specific.

At first I thought it was taking me to the last page I had viewed, but I don't believe that to be correct anymore.

Same here. Could some please take care about the fact, that a lot of people use the N900 to surf on maemo.org...

Changing to a different theme on your n900 won't affect your settings elsewhere. I browse using orange and grey on my computers, but n900 opens the forum in 'classic dark' which I find the most useful. Yes, I've lost the sidebar, but for dropping into the forums on the device I prefer to be able to read threads and PMs.

As for the 'thanks' I find that where as the 't.m.o' orange and grey only displays the number of thanks recieved (on the left, after number of posts) the 'classic dark' lists posts, thanks (meaning those given) and thanked (meaning those recieved. Both bits of information are there.

i cant see 'last post' or later page numbers, eg..when viewing page 70 of 100, have to manually click 'next' until i get to the last page

Yes..that is the main problem

If you can find a "first" option, pick it and then you get a "last" option! Clunky, but it does get you to the last page.

I had strange problem last night, while browsing this site.
I was checking the forum and specially this thread and the browser got hanged and my N900 rebooted automatically. I thought something might has stuck, so after bounce, opened this thread again and while trying to scroll the screen via finger, it hanged again and rebooted.

Not once, not twice, it did the same reboot three times. Since then, I have not opened this site from my N900 browser. But I, I check any other sites and it works fine.

Looks pretty weird . huh.

Same here. got a problem with missing numbers and last page link. I also sometimes get weird left aligned text, which includes thread topic, and description usually in a long thin column.
