Multiple shortcut instances ?

Is it possible to have shortcut to the same application multiple times on the desktop?

The reason for this is mainly the phone app. Would be handy if I could just have it on all the 4 desktops without the need of moving to one particular desktop ..

You can if you create a copy of the .desktop file for that app and name it something else. (however you will end up with multiple same app icons in the main menu also)

Hmm. I'm not the best person to explain how to do this however.
