My N900 keeps calling with a hidden number

And i have gone into Settings, then phone, and put the calling thingy to show my ID, but it still calls with a private number to others : /

Is something wrong or am i doing it wrong?

Have you tried calling your carrier? I don't know much about callerID, but I'd imagine the bug (if there is one) could be on their part too, and that would be the first thing I'd check, just to rule out it out.

I strongly suggest calling your carrier's mobile technical support as this is an issue on their side.

there is something funny with that on n900 all other phones worked for me on automatic but n900 hides my number on auto, if i set it by hand it works so my problem is "fixed" but there is some issue in this section without a question.

I think providers can by default hide or show numbers, and you can choose to go with the default, or you explicitly say what you want to do. But I have a feeling this can still be overridden by the provider anyway as you're only making a request, you're not actually able to hide your number from the basestation, etc. so they can choose whether to do what you ask.

well actually i have the same problem here :

when i set to hide my caller ID ... its hidden
when i set it to auto ... its hidden
when i set it to visible ... its hidden

works like it should on other devices i tried the sim on ... seems its a problem from n900 :(

yes i called the carrier , they say everything is fine from thier side and the problem might be from my mobile , so i took the sim and put it in my other mobile and everything was fine !
