play with mplayer addon to microb?

default media player can't play some streams such as the ones spesific to iphone. i was wondering if it is possible to create an addon so when you click on a stream link like .sdp microb would prompt to open it with mplayer?

One imagines that it should be possible to write a plugin for microb to do just that. Unfortunately I am not clued in enough to even attempt that.
