sms problems after Vodafone update

Hi guys, Happy New Year and all that bobbins.

Vodafone updated the Network/sim cards the other night and since then I cant send SMS. Have been sent a new Sim but still doesnt work. Anyone else having this problem?

Or is it just me again?

I'm with Voda and I'm having no issues sending SMS. I haven't received a new sim card though. Is the update for all customers?

How do the updates arrive? Do you have to allow/confirm them?

In any case I'm with Vodafone with a newish SIM (couple of months old) and have no problems sending SMSes.

good point lard, could be an aging sim issue? voda should send a new one out though :)

it was a new sim but they sent a new one anyway. I also found out that anyone not on voda couldnt call me. it appears to be a porting fault. apparently t mobile forget sometimes and try to reclaim the number to issue later? Have been asured that it'll be fixed in the next 48hrs. probably not of much interest to most but may be of help if anyone else who came from t mobile experiences problems.
