I talked to the nokia sales on the phone today. They say the 770 will be available on thursday... Can anyone say if i'll be able to get one? I am leaving the country on dec 3 and if i dont have it by then i need to get SOMETHING, i need to be connected in europe for work purposes...

If it will be available by Thursday, then probably you can purchase it in Europe instead. :)

Purchasing it in europe is all well and good, but im only there for a week, will it will be backwards compatible powerwise?

Most of Nokia's chargers are 100-240v. The 770 uses the standard Nokia phone charger but using the small power connector. What you probably might need is a round to flat converter at the most, which you can get at your local Radioshack.
